Jean Manciat 'Franclieu' Mâcon-Charnay, 2024 Melon de Bourgogne which lead to extremely thoughtThis wine is made of 100% Chardonnay. The grapes are from Jean Manciat's oldest vines, at 30 35 years old, on a gentle, stony slope of clay limestone soils, which he considers to be his finest plot. The hand harvested fruit is whole cluster pressed, naturally fermented and aged on its fine lees in stainless steel tanks. No oak is involved at all, allowing the wine to express the fresh, tropical, and flinty nature of the fruit.
