Emmanuel Rouget, Echezeaux Grand Cru, 2023 SO100925 Gauthier this Barolo balances power withRouget's Echezeaux comes from three parcels Les Treux, Les Cruots (also known as Vignes Blanches), and Clos Saint Denis blended into one of the Cote de Nuits' most serious Grand Crus. Emmanuel learned the trade from his uncle Henri Jayer starting in 1976; today his sons Nicolas and Guillaume carry that lineage forward. The winemaking is textbook Jayer school: low yields, full destemming, cool pre ferment maceration, aging in carefully chosen barrels
